More than 100 schools and 400 students participated in the three-day Global Classrooms® conference in New Delhi early this month.
Merrill Lynch has been awarded a Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership Award, given to companies and individuals that create opportunities for businesses and schools to come together to help young people succeed.
Jersey City was among our office locations worldwide hosting senior citizens, who are invited to make free phone calls to loved ones as part of our annual Christmas Calls program.
As part of our Investing Pays Off® program, more than 20 California groups that teach young people about business and entrepreneurship will benefit from our multiyear grants.

With Global Philanthropy and New York Cares, the Asian Pacific American Professional Network and a GPC team took part in volunteer work at three New York public schools.
The mayor of Chicago, Richard M. Daley, thanked Merrill Lynch for contributing more volunteers to the city's Principal for a Day program than any other corporation.
In thanking us for sponsoring Atlanta's Principal for a Day program, Mayor Shirley Franklin said, “I'd say they put their money where their heart is.”
Merrill Lynch Foundation has donated US$50,000 to Hong Kong education charity EdExchange for its new program "Community Leaders of Tomorrow."
The 12 semifinalists, who had all written essays about the effect of the leftist trend in South America on the international community and on the Latin American integration process and Brazil’s response, each met with two interviewers, toured the trading desk and met Richard Rainer, head of ML Brazil.

Employee volunteers in New York wrote about their experiences with the Principal for a Day program, which they called rewarding — but exhausting.
While volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, a group of Global Private Client employees touched the lives of New Orleans residents displaced by Hurricane Katrina, encountered a celebrity and later found themselves on national television.
Fifteen volunteers who are members of the Black Professional Network visited two New York City public schools, Mott Hall II and Crossroads, to deliver financial literacy classes from Global Philanthropy's Investing Pays Off® curriculum.
Our Principals for a Day talked about what it's like to be a school principal in Miami, the seventh U.S. city in which we've sponsored the program that supports urban schools.
A boat sailed by Merrill Lynch employees sailed for charity on New York's Hudson River, winning $20,000 for school children.
